You are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, purchased by God through Jesus Christ to proclaim God's Excellency, his mercy and grace. God called you out of the darkness of bondage, abuse, rape, low self-esteem and living in another person's shadow. The divorce may or may not have been a result of what you did or did not do. But what I do know is there is no condemnation to those who belong to Christ (Romans 8:1). Those who were purchased through the redemption power of his shed blood and his resurrection power and authority. You ARE NOT a mistake! The marriage may not have been God's plan for you at that season in your life. But God will take all things and work them so that it will benefit you your character, your life and His Kingdom and its manifestation in your life according to Romans 8:28.
Sometimes we allow other people to define us and our self-worth is weighed a lot on other people's opinion of us. God wants to be your definer to show you the unique and essential qualities that he has placed inside of you. He has called each one of us with a unique call and as his blood bought child he has a plan for our lives to give us a future and a hope to declare an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Your latter end shall be much better than your past (Job 8:7).
God is a god of progression. When he orders your steps and if you follow him you will be able to see improvement, elevation, progression. Our hope should be built on his love and wisdom for our lives. When we build our relationship with God he will provide instructions and healing to generate wholeness from past abuse, lies, abandonment, mistreatment, imprisonment, divorce, low self-esteem, lack of self worth, unidentifiable presence your own abilities. Many times we feel alone because we have separated from God. We have to make a conscious decision to return to him. He is waiting!
Prayer: Father God I come to you and ask that you help me to lay down all my past hurts (name the ones you remember). I believe that you are a healer and that you want to make me whole. Help me to allow you to elevate my faith and my thinking so that I can experience true freedom and walk in newness of life so I will no longer be a prisoner of negative thoughts and words that have been spoken to me and about me that are contrary to your plan and vision for my life. I thank you in your son's Jesus name Amen!
God made you who you are so you can proclaim who He is!
